Professor Weinstein was born in Philadelphia. She earned a Master’s Degree in health management and gerontology, a certificate in health administration, a bachelor’s degree in nursing and behavioral science, a nursing diploma from Pennsylvania Hospital (Philadelphia, PA) and is a graduate of the Kellogg Executive Management Program, Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Nursing and the American College of Wellness. She is Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois College of Nursing, Chicago and a member of the Advisory Board of Kaplan University College of Nursing. Rose E. Constantino, PhD, JD, RN, FAAN, FACFE, is Associate Professor and Fulbright Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, Department of Health and Community Systems. She teaches Forensic Nursing based on the content of a book she co-authored “Forensic Nursing: Evidence-based Principles and Practice” published by F. A. Davis in 2013. Her pro bono family law practice representing clients in court is founded on her research on the consequences of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on the health, safety and well-being of women, men and children worldwide. Her current research is in evaluating the effectiveness of online and mobile delivery of health interventions to survivors of IPV as a disruptive innovation (HELPP Zone app) in building healthy relationships and preventing intimate partner violence. She is a 2016 Fulbright Scholar, 2016 Sigma Theta Tau International GNLA Mentor and 2016 ANA Jessie M. Scott awardee.

I started to teach public health nursing and psychiatric-mental health nursing as soon as I completed my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 1962 at the Adventist University of the Philippines (formerly Philippine Union College). I then taught psychiatric mental health nursing at Spring Grove State Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. In 1971, I taught psychiatric mental health nursing at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing after receiving my Master’s (1971) and PhD (1979) degrees. I completed my law degree in1984 (evening program) while teaching psychiatric mental health nursing. I continued to teach undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing since 1971 up to the present. My teaching experience relates to my psychiatric mental health nursing experience, family law practice and research studies on health outcomes of women who experience intimate partner violence (IPV) and women whose spouse committed suicide. I guest lecture on the ethical and legal issues in nursing practice and in the role of nurses, family health nursing, continuing education for nurses, lawyers and physicians in caring for women and girls in IPV. Currently, I teach several courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs: Fundamentals of Legal Nurse Consulting and Forensic Nursing; Advanced Forensic Nursing; Legal Nurse Consulting and Forensic Nursing Practicum; Forensic Psychiatric Mental Health, Correctional Nursing; and Independent Study. These are all Web-Based/Web-Supported courses, conducive to students’ learning and work scheduling needs. I have developed a Certificate Program in Forensic Nursing as a global project.

Lavoy Bray currently holds the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric/Behavioral Health nursing course for the US Army. He is the former national Vice President for the American Assembly for Men in Nursing (AAMN). He has also served as an AAMN Board member for three years prior to the term of Vice President. He has served as Chair and Co-Chair for the Membership and New Chapter Committee for six years. He is the 2011 recipient of the Lee Cohen Award which recognizes one AAMN member who has provided outstanding service to the organization and best represents the organization’s goals and purpose. He has served two terms on the Board of the Virginia League of Nursing. He holds multiple memberships in various professional organizations and is a national, state, and local nursing speaker.

Sawsan H. Ezzeddine is Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the Makassed University of Beirut. She was President of the Federation of National Nursing Associations for 8 years (1992-2000). She has drafted the current Nursing Order Bylaws submitted to the Ministry of Health and approved in 2002. She has received the Nurse of the Year Award offered by the WHO and the Order of Nurses in 2007. She has participated in many national research projects by the MOH and WHO to promote the nursing profession in Lebanon, and member in many professional associations. She completed BS in Nursing from American University of Beirut in 1980, Masters in 1983 and PhD in Education from the Lebanese University in 2014.

Dr. Alpha Ibrahima Balde, MD, MS, FWAMS received his medical degree from the first military medical university Chinese (Southern Medical University). With his keen interest in surgery and clinical research, Dr. Balde took part in many surgeries in the fields of laparoscopic gastric cancer, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, thyroid, hernia, and Hepatocellular biliary carcinoma with eminent professor of the Tertiary Hospital. Dr. Balde is an active researcher in the fields of gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, thyroid, and liver disease. He received his post graduate degree (Master of Surgery at SMU) he published many articles as co author and also as first author in prestigious journals like Surgical Endoscopy and also in Colorectal Disease. I qualified as a doctor in 1970, after having studied medicine in Russia. Since qualification I have worked in Eire and the UK. I did various jobs in general adult medicine as a Registrar, training in Accident and Emergency medicine for a considerable period, then worked in Paediatric Surgery covering Accident and Emergency medicine and worked in a Paediatric Cardiac Surgery department. I was later trained in Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine and worked as a Paediatric Consultant. My major training was in Paediatric Neurology and Neurodevelopment. (See below) I obtained various higher qualifications such as the Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (DRCOG), and the MRCP. I became a fellow of two Royal Medical Colleges - FRCPCH from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and FRCPS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I am a medical educationalist and a researcher and have published widely. Most of my publications are related to paediatric neurology and child development topics. In the past 13 years I have worked as a First Contact Physician in Harley Street and I am the Executive Medical Director of Medical Express Clinic. For this reason I did two Masters (MSc) modules in Neurology and in Musculo-skeletal Medicine which also included trauma medicine. Over the years, I have specifically trained myself in medico-legal report writing; I belong to the Medico Legal Society and attend meetings at the Royal Society of Medicine. I have also been trained by the Judicial College in industrial injuries and in recognition of dating scars and injuries. I have been sitting as a panel member on industrial injury cases and acquired in-service training and experience. I examine patients (appellants) to assess industrial injuries at the Appeals Tribunal. This continuing experience is valuable in my current role at Medical Express Clinic. For 15 years, until April 2015, I was a Senior Medically Qualified Tribunal Member in the First-Tier Tribunal dealing with disability and industrial injuries cases at HM Courts & Tribunals Service. Later, the Judiciary appointed me as a Regional Medical Appraiser with District Judge status and I am sworn. I attended the Tribunals Service for one day a week at that time, and in addition I carried out appraisals of other doctors working for the Tribunals Service. I sat in and watched how other tribunal teams worked and discussed their cases - this gave me vast experience which is useful for the work I do at the Medical Express Clinic. Now, since April 2015 I have retired from the Judiciary work. My specific expertise is on writing medical reports on victims of torture and in paediatric neurology and child developmental issues. I am also an expert in vaccine damage issues and toxin damage including allergic and environmental damage to the brain. a) I have written more than 600 medico-legal reports including reports on victims of torture and medical negligence over many years. My legal training given by the Tribunal Judiciary also assists me in writing medical reports. b) I examined scars for Tribunal Services and over the years with training from Tribunals Services have become proficient in recognition and in considering the causation. However there is no way scientifically to establish confidently how an injury occurred to cause a scar. Scars caused by trauma and other means cannot be differentiated on clinical grounds. c) I organised and ran a Course in Medical Report writing for Bond Solon – The Legal Training Company. Many years ago I also attended training at Royal Society of Medicine on Courtroom skills. I update my skills in medico-legal work by reading and attending CPD courses. Having worked as a Consultant I have prepared at least 100 medico-legal reports for Courts on child abuse cases. I have attended Courts to give evidence. d) I was appraised by Tribunal Services for 6 years when appraisals began and I was assessed as being competent in examining people who are victims of accidents claiming industrial injury benefits. I received regular in-service training by the Judiciary. I was appointed by the Tribunal Judiciary as a District Medical Appraiser and also had training on this aspect of my work with the judiciary. This appointment gave me District Judge status.
